The idea behind the Volta was to revive some of the key characteristics of deep profile saddles from the past, but with new technology and style. Vincent Bourgeois, who initied the project and brought in Torgny to do the design, had noticed that many of the older pro riders refused to let go of their old and heavy, deep-profile saddles, so he saw an opportunity to bring this type of saddle up to date. We scanned a whole bunch of old saddles and used them as reference. The round shape and straight silhouette makes it easy to move and change the position frequently. Looks-wise we went for a striking shark-nose and straight lower line covering the seat post head, and it’s certainly a saddle that stands out from the crowd.
