The 1990s was an incredible period for radical track bikes, some of which inspired Torgny to want to become a bicycle designer himself. One of them was the Pinarello Espada which Miguel Indurain rode to his successful 1994 UCI Hour Record attempt. It was such a disappointment when the UCI tightened the regulations and these bikes disappeared!

Torgny’s comment: “When the pandemic broke out in 2020 many projects were put on hold so I had a bit of time on my hands for some personal side projects such as this one, a redesign of the Espada. However, just a few weeks later the entire bike industry experienced the biggest boom in it’s history and I was literally drowning in client work again.”
